about

A jagged and broken sphere resting under a ball of fire, this is where we start. Then a sword braced against shield, a seemingly permanent cycle of events, a history of redundancies. Then for a short time, hand in hand, braced against the wildebeests of this world, a man tries to make this world softer and rounder, for his kindness he is burnt to ashes. Then wreckage, and destruction and rubbish, people left to sort through the trash. Then a boy whose own circumstances match the rubble, looks deep within the past to find an answer of his own.

We've Always Been Too Late Forever is the debut album from Sunrise King (Kai Foster.) A work of hauntology, abysmal synths, ambient sounds, noise production and droning patterns. A conceptual work about the revolution, failed pasts, our connections to one another and absolution.
